Biography
Johnny is deeply rooted in the blues scene of Memphis. In his youth, he played with Texas native, Juke Boy Bonner. He left Memphis for Los Angeles when he was only 17 years old. Back then, played electric guitar for James Young's band, The Blues News. Johnny also contributed vocals on the critically acclaimed album, Old Main Drag.
In 1997, he signed with Intrepid Records as a solo artist. His first album hit chart milestones. "Nothin' But Time" is one of the greatest guitar pieces of its time -- Johnny's intense playing style (sans pick), showcases marvelous mastery of skill, unmatched by any great guitarist to date. The grammy-winner has since teamed up with Manny Shreds, creating rock 'n' roll brilliance in every chord.
